Monday Socials

These are an opportunity for international ladies to meet in a British home for a drink and chat!  Come and meet some local ladies as well as learning something new.  Children are very welcome.

The social mornings are held at the home of Sally Tan, Springhill Farm, Foxburrow Hill Road, Bramley, GU5 0BU (unless noted otherwise), from 10.15 to 11.45am on the following Mondays:-

Transport from Manor Park Reception and the University Library steps at 10.00 am. If living at Hazel Farm contact Cilla (Tel: 0780 136 8131). If you require transport from elsewhere, contact Cilla or Sally (Tel: 01483 890 011).

IMPORTANT:  It is a legal requirement that all babies and children under 11 years of age use a special car seat -  If you book transport with us, please tell us if you cannot provide one for your child.  Every passenger must always wear a seatbelt.


Tuesday Ladies' Bible Class

(for ladies, with crèche for children)

An informal Bible study - for you if you would like to learn more about Christianity.  We read passages from the Bible and discuss what they mean.  We use simple English and anyone is welcome to join us even if they know little or nothing about the Bible.  Held at Emmanuel Church Centre in Stoughton (at the corner of Shepherd's Lane next to Worplesdon Road traffic lights) 9.30am to 11am every Tuesday except during school holidays.  (Please see the events calendar for dates).


Wednesday English Conversation Class

(for ladies and children)

An informal English Conversation Class (for ladies and children) with a TESOL teacher 1.30-2.30pm followed by refreshments.  Meets in the Cathedral Court/Twyford Court Reception TV Lounge on the University campus, weekly except during school holidays.  (Please see the events calendar for dates).
There is a supervised crèche for pre-school children.
Cost: 50p per week.


Thursday CAMEO Group

CAMEO (Come And Meet Each Other) is an opportunity for international ladies to meet local ladies and practise speaking English.  There is a large play area for pre-school children.
Held at Emmanuel Church Centre in Stoughton (at the corner of Shepherd's Lane next to Worplesdon Road traffic lights) 10.15am to 11.45am on the 2nd & 4th Thursday of every month except August.  (Please see the events calendar for dates).
